Meet Poppy!
If resilience had a face, it would look a lot like Poppy's.
At only about 2 months old, Poppy's life took a heartbreaking turn when she and her littermates were found abandoned on the side of the road. Instead of learning what it means to be part of a loving family, these puppies were left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, someone stopped, and Poppy's story got the second chance it deserved.
Now safe at the shelter, Poppy is discovering just how wonderful life can be. She's a curious, playful little girl who greets every new adventure with a wagging tail and puppy enthusiasm. Whether she's chasing toys, exploring the yard, or curling up for a nap after playtime, Poppy reminds us every day just how resilient a puppy's heart can be.
Poppy is full of personality and has the kind of sweet, gentle nature that makes everyone who meets her smile. She's learning that people can be kind, that treats are plentiful, and that belly rubs are one of life's greatest treasures.
Like any young puppy, Poppy is looking for a family who will help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be through patience, training, and lots of love. In return, she'll give you a lifetime of loyalty, laughter, and unconditional love.
Someone threw Poppy away.
Now it's our turn to show her that people can be the very best part of her story.
Could you be the family Poppy has been waiting for?
Note: Adoption Policy: Montague County Animal Rescue typically does not adopt dogs to homes where they will live primarily outdoors. We believe every dog deserves to be part of the family and live safely indoors. Exceptions may be made for specific breeds or unique circumstances where an outdoor environment is appropriate and secure.
